Seriously, /b/... (4chan imageboard "infinite redirect" fix)

Not much to say of late. I'm still at home and i've been working on the farm this summer; getting hay mowed and stuff. The need for a personal means of transportation has led me to attempt to get my brother's old motorcycle running and road worthy. We will see how it turns out.

This leads me to the real reason for my post: 4chan. Those who know me, know that i have been known to, in my free time, frequent certain imageboards on 4chan. Until about a month ago everything was fine. I could go anywhere i need to go on the site. But that all changed, suddenly i was unable to visit any board hosted on zip.4chan.org. When i attempted to, it would always return an "infinite redirect" error and give up on loading the page. Well, after some digging, i discovered a few days ago on an Australian forum a post reguarding this problem. It said that if you ever have trouble accessing certain boards, you should search for a file on your computer called "hosts" (I later discovered this is located in C:/WINDOWS/System32) and once you find it, you should open it in notepad and look for any lines related to 4chan. Well, there it was, a line for the boards i could access, bin.4chan.org (which would fail to load any zip.4chan.org page). The post instructed me to delete this line and then save the file. Instructions followed, and many happy views of the problem boards later and i decided to post my discovery to the internet in hopes it will benefit some other unlucky individual.

Until next time.

New Ghibli Film

I know it's been awhile since I blogged anything here. Mostly because I've been busy with school, but this is my last week, and after finals week next week (and ACEN on May 5-7) I will hopefully get back to blogging more.

Anyway, new season of anime has kicked off, but more about that after i get out of school. Biggest news of the season, though, is the announcement of the next Studio Ghibli film, ゲド戦記 (Gedo Senki), "Tales of Ged" which is based off of the Earthsea novels by Ursela K. Le Guinn! It appears that this film is to be released in Japan this July. Be watching for this to hit as it will most likely be awesome.

New Series and More to Come

Just have to say that i've started a new series (ahem) called Kashimashi ~Girl Meets Girl~. It's a love story about an overly feminine boy who confesses to the girl he likes and is rejected. So he goes for a walk in the mountains and when he stops at an overlook to see the view, a damaged alien space ship crashes into him, killing him instantly. Well, the aliens feel sorry about this so they reconstruct his body, but for some reason they give him the body of a girl. The aliens then publicly apologize to the entire planet and leave a surprised (and of course quite naked) main character in the care of his, err...her friends.

Now on to the next order of business, a look at things to come. Well, as many probably already know, a new Hellsing series is being made and is being closely modeled after the original manga (something the first series didn't do). This new series is going to be a straight-to-disc OVA, but a prologue episode was created and aired in Japan recently. The title is "Hellsing I: OVA Digest for Freaks", but somehow i think Engrish strikes again...

Anyway, i couldn't understand most of what was being said, since the Japanese was a little out of my league, but it wasn't all that important since i have read the manga and it covered a portion of the story that was actually covered in the first series. All in all, it was very pretty and i think expect the OVA to be even better.

Well, that's all for now. Until next time...

Winter Break and 2nd Semester

Well my second semester of classes started today and so I'm going to catch everyone up on my activities over winter break as well as what my scedule looks like for this semester.

First off, winter break. Had a good time and a very active holiday season. After the holidays came to a close, i continued trying to play catch up with all the anime i had downloaded this past fall. I managed to get caught up with Bleach on of the best shounen action series ever! 63 episodes and counting... Then i finished watching Samurai Champloo, yeah i know it's been out for a while, but i had still not watched it past episode 4. I watched all i had of Lamune, Shakugan no Shana, Blood+, Noein, Karin, Ichigo Mashimaro, Jigoku Shoujo, Paradise Kiss, ARIA, and Mai-Otome. In the non-anime front i finished watching the the first season of LOST, which is quite possibly the best TV show EVER! I'm missing a few earily episodes of season 2 so it may be a while before i can continue with that.

Finally, this semester is shaping up to be fairly decent. I have Billiards on Mon/Wed at 9:05, Japanese on Tue/Thurs at 9:05 and M/W/F at 11:15, Organic Chemistry M/W/F at 10:10 and Tue at 2:30pm, then Biology on Tue/Thurs at 11:15, and finally Calculus II on M/W/Th/F at 1:25pm. It seems to be going ok, but what can I say on the first day?

Oh well, I've got a floor meeting tonight and some light homework so until next time.

Currently Jammin to: Nujabes + Fat Jon - aruarian dance (Samurai Champloo BGM)
