Merry Christmas and what turned into an Onegai Twins Review

Hello everyone. I'm having a fair Christmas (and an even better Chrimbo over on Kingdom of Loathing). I, like koit, opened my presents on Christmas Eve last night, so now I just finished up making some last minute Christmas cookies and am currently on a sugar buzz due to leftover frosting ()_().

If anyone is interested, I got my brother the first DVD of Onegai Twins, the "sequel" series to Onegai Teacher, the story of a 16/18 year old boy and his alien teacher. To keep his teacher's secret, they must get married and comedy and finally romance ensues. OniTea is probably one of my favorite series ever and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is into the Shojou romance genre.

Anywho, back to Onegai Twins, this story is set in the same town (in rural Nagano), but happens to different people and is 2 years after the events in OniTea. The main character is a boy named Maiku (Mike), who is working as a programmer and going to high school (almost half-heartedly). He was adopted at a very young age and bears no memory of his parents. All he has is a picture of himself with a girl (who is assumed to be his twin sister) in front of a house (which he found and is renting with his programming job). His life is becoming normal again after the move when he meets a girl who has the same picture he has, has the same eye color (an unusual deep blue) , and claims to be his twin! She is followed closely by another girl who has the same circumstances, eye color, and story as the first. By the end of the first 2 episodes, they all start living together in the same house. Added to this intriguing (and potentially ecchi) story are random cameos by the original Onegai Teacher cast and amazing music by KOTOKO, the ever so talented former member of the girl group I'VE, makes the show as good as its predecessor with potential for so much more! We will definately be continuing this.

Well, what started out as a passing comment turned into a full flung review of the first two episodes...^_^;;; Oh well, maybe next time something less heavy. Until then, "See you space cowboy...".
